Armanini, Sankey Vote to Stop Statewide Bridge Tolling Effort

HARRISBURG – Legislation that would shut down the current plan to toll nine bridges around Pennsylvania, including four on Interstate 80, drew support from state Reps. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk) and Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield/Cambria). Senate Bill 382, authored by state Sen. Wayne Langerholc (R-35), passed with bipartisan support and now returns to the Senate for concurrence after being amended in the House.

Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield/Cambria) and Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk) issued a statement in reaction to Monday’s vote by the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee on a concurrent resolution that disapproves of the Environmental Quality Board’s support for Gov. Tom Wolf’s plan to enroll Pennsylvania in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), which would place a carbon tax on existing coal-fired and natural gas-fired electric providers:

Sankey, Rigby Support Fiscally-Responsible State Budget Plan

HARRISBURG – State Reps. Tommy Sankey (R-Osceola Mills) and Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) today voted to support Senate Bill 255, the primary piece of legislation which makes up the 2021-22 state budget package. The bill, which passed by a 140-61 margin, now goes to the state Senate for consideration.
