WHAT: The Peg Run Road bridge over the West Branch Susquehanna River in Susquehanna Township, Cambria County, will be officially renamed the United States Army Sergeant Scott O. Henry Memorial Bridge.

Henry, a native of Commodore, Indiana County, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and lost his life on Nov. 15, 1965.

WHO: Rep. Tommy Sankey (R-Cambria/Clearfield) authored the original House Bill 66 to rename the bridge. It became law as part of Act 59 of 2019, which was sponsored by Sen. Wayne Langerholc (R-Cambria/Clearfield/Bedford).

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m.

WHERE: Bridge to be renamed crosses the West Branch Susquehanna River in Cambria County on Route 240/Peg Run Road, just west of Route 219/Shawna Road and south of Cherry Tree, Indiana County.

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Parking will be available just west of the bridge. Please do not park along Route 219.
